Privacy notice

Last updated: 21 October 2026.

Desjardins Securities Inc. (“we”) respects your privacy. This notice explains how the website at desjardins-securities-app.com handles personal information. The office address is 1170 Peel Street, Suite 300, Montreal, Quebec H3B 0A9, Canada.

Who is responsible

The organisation responsible for personal information collected through this website is Desjardins Securities Inc. Privacy requests: [email protected].

Google Play, disnat.com, CIRO, and CIPF process information under their own notices when you leave this site. A brokerage account is governed by the client agreement and the privacy notice published by Desjardins Online Brokerage, not by this page alone.

What we process

This site has no client accounts and does not ask for a password, trading PIN, account number, or payment card.

Why we use it

We do not sell personal information. Analytics and marketing tags are not loaded unless you accept them in the cookie banner. At publication, no Google Analytics measurement ID is installed.

Sharing

Hosting staff and service providers may see connection logs in order to run the server. If you follow a link to Google Play or disnat.com, those organisations receive the information their own sites collect. We may disclose information if a Canadian law, a Quebec law, or a court or regulator requires it. If advertising or analytics tools are added later, they will run only after consent, and this notice will name them.

This website is hosted so that it can be reached from outside Quebec. If a service provider stores logs outside Canada, that provider’s location will depend on the host you use to publish the files. We do not transfer brokerage account files through this site, because the site does not hold them.

Your rights

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (often called Law 25), you can ask for access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, subject to legal limits. You may also ask about the means of processing and, where the law gives you the right, request that information you provided be communicated to you in a structured format.

To use these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you. You can complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec at cai.gouv.qc.ca, or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca, depending on which regime applies.

If UK or EU data-protection law applies to a particular visit, you can also ask to restrict or object to certain processing and to receive a portable copy of information you provided. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.

Retention

Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up, then deleted unless a legal duty requires a longer archive. Hosting logs follow the host’s retention schedule. The cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear site data.

Security and other sites

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to a static information site. Links to Google Play, disnat.com, CIRO, and CIPF leave our control. Read their privacy notices before you use those services. Do not send account credentials by email.

Changes

We will post updates on this page and change the date above. The date is the notice of the current version.
